The Hula Monsters

The Hula Monsters have been described as a swing band with a Hawaiian flavor. Their
repertoire includes Hawaiian, rockabilly, blues, country and jazz standards - all
with the Hula Monster Hawaiian accent.
This fun and energetic group has performed at many of the great venues including the Birchmere,
Rams Head Tavern, IOTA, and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and many great
music clubs around the country including the Wagon Shed. A growing list of festivals includes
the "Fox Winterhawk Festival" in New York, "Taste of DC" in Washington, D.C., "and the
Caroline Summerfest" in Denton, Maryland.
This former "Artists-In-Residence" band at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
has performed and/or recorded with the likes of Bill Kirchen, Dan Hicks, Cracker, Jerry Lee
Lewis, Percy Sledge, Danny Gatton, Bill Harrell, The Slickee Boys, Pam Tillis, The Grandsons,
Queen Ida, Johnny Gimble, Nappy Brown, Greg Kihn, Tracy Schwartz, Jethro Burns, Marvin
Hamlisch, Mitch Woods, Out Behind The Barn, Ruthie and the Wranglers, Al Rapone, Sam
Moore, Sleepy LaBeef, The Texas Playboys, and C.K. Mann.

At the core of the Angel Band are three beautiful women - Nancy
Josephson, Aly Paige and Kathleen Weber. All are amazing singers - both on
lead and backup vocals. Whether it's the tight three part harmony, the stories, the passion,
or the the killer backup band, this group is sure to WOW you.
Working as the crackerjack backup band are David Bromberg (guitar, National Steel
guitar, dobro), Marc Moss (mandolin, guitar, accordion), Bob Taylor (bass),
Nate Grower (fiddle), Christie Lenee (guitar).
The music roams from old time mountain to folk to contemporary rock and roll influenced
originals. Any way you slice it, this band catches hold of you and won’t let go.
